Getting Started

Becoming a Pixodock reseller takes minutes. Here's exactly what happens between signing up and serving your first customer.

1.1 Sign up as a reseller

  1. Visit app.pixodock.com/register and create a normal Pixodock account using your business email.
  2. Verify your email address using the link sent to your inbox.
  3. From your account settings, request reseller access โ€” or contact admin@pixodock.com with a short description of your business.

1.2 How the admin enables your reseller account

A Pixodock administrator reviews each request and flips the reseller flag on your account. Once enabled, you'll automatically receive:

  • A new Reseller Panel entry in your sidebar
  • Access to the Pricing editor for setting your own retail prices
  • An empty My Users list โ€” ready for your first customer
  • A 20% wholesale discount applied automatically to every plan you provision

Approval is usually fast. Most reseller requests are processed within 1 business day. You'll receive an email confirmation as soon as your account is upgraded.

1.3 Your first login

After approval, sign back in at app.pixodock.com/login. You'll land on your Dashboard, with the new reseller-only sections appearing in the left sidebar. We recommend completing these three things on day one:

  • Visit Pricing and set retail prices for the plans you intend to sell
  • Visit Branding to upload your logo and pick a brand color
  • Visit Branding โ†’ Custom Domain to point your panel at panel.yourbrand.com
Section 02

Understanding Your Dashboard

Once your reseller account is active, four key sections appear in your left sidebar. Here's what each one does.

The standard Pixodock features (Sites, Databases, Docker Apps, VPS, Security, AI Ops, etc.) remain in the sidebar โ€” you use them like any other operator. The four sections above are the reseller-only additions.

Section 03

Setting Your Pricing

You buy plans wholesale at 20% off Pixodock's base price and resell them at any retail price you choose. Whatever spread you set is your gross profit per customer per month.

3.1 How the wholesale model works

  • Pixodock publishes a base price for each VPS plan (e.g., $5.95/mo for PX2G2C).
  • As a reseller, your wholesale cost is the base price minus 20% (e.g., $4.76/mo).
  • You set the retail price โ€” anything from base price upward.
  • Every billing cycle, your customer pays you, and Pixodock charges you the wholesale rate. The difference is your gross profit.

3.2 Setting retail prices, step-by-step

  1. Go to Pricing in the sidebar.
  2. You'll see a list of every base plan, with three columns: Base Price, Your Cost, and Retail Price.
  3. Edit the retail price field for each plan you want to sell. The interface shows your projected per-customer profit in real time.
  4. Click Save Pricing. Your branded checkout immediately reflects the new prices for new sign-ups; existing subscribers keep their current price until renewal.

3.3 Worked example

Profit Calculation โ€” PX2G2C plan

Base price $5.95
Your cost (โˆ’20%) $4.76
You sell at $8.99
Your profit +$4.23

10 customers on this plan = $42.30/mo profit ยท 100 customers = $423/mo ยท 1,000 customers = $4,230/mo

3.4 Tips for competitive pricing

  • Anchor against retail. Look at popular hosts like Hostinger, DigitalOcean, and Hetzner โ€” their retail tier sets your customer's price expectation.
  • Bundle value, not just resources. Your panel ships with VPS provisioning, 340+ Docker apps, AI ops, and security tools. That stack justifies a premium over raw IaaS.
  • Don't price below your cost. Pixodock charges you the wholesale rate regardless of what you charge โ€” selling below cost means you're paying for the customer.
  • Test annual billing. A small annual discount (e.g., 2 months free) often improves conversion and reduces churn.
Section 04

Managing Your Customers

Every end user under your reseller account belongs to your tenant โ€” they sign up through your branded panel, see only your name, and bill through you.

4.1 How customers reach your panel

Once your custom domain is configured (covered in ยง5), share the registration URL with your customers. Examples:

  • Direct link: https://panel.yourbrand.com/register
  • Marketing site CTA: a "Sign Up" button on your existing website that links to the registration URL
  • Affiliate / referral campaigns: append ?ref=campaign_name for tracking

4.2 Inviting users manually

  1. Open My Users from the sidebar.
  2. Click Invite User in the top-right.
  3. Enter the customer's email and (optionally) pre-assign a plan.
  4. Pixodock sends a branded invitation email with a one-time signup link.

4.3 What customers see (and don't see)

  • They see: Your logo, your colors, your domain, your support email, your retail prices.
  • They never see: The Pixodock name, branding, base prices, or your wholesale cost.
  • Email "from" addresses use your branded sender domain once configured (see ยง5.3).

4.4 Subscription lifecycle

  • The customer signs up and selects a plan at your retail price.
  • They pay you (via Stripe or Plisio configured under your account) on their billing date.
  • Pixodock charges you the wholesale rate for each active subscription on your billing date.
  • If a customer cancels or fails payment, their service stops at end of period โ€” and your wholesale charge for that subscription stops on the next cycle.
Section 05

Branding & Customization

The whole point of white-labeling is that your customers experience your brand, not ours. Here's everything you can customize.

5.1 Custom domain setup

  1. Pick a subdomain on a domain you own โ€” typical choices: panel.yourbrand.com, my.yourbrand.com, or cloud.yourbrand.com.
  2. In your DNS provider, add a CNAME record from your subdomain to panel.pixodock.com.
  3. In Pixodock, go to Reseller Panel โ†’ Domain and enter your subdomain. Click Verify.
  4. Once DNS propagates (usually a few minutes), Pixodock provisions a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate automatically. Your panel is now live at your domain.

5.2 Logo and color customization

  • Logo: Upload an SVG (preferred) or PNG. We recommend a transparent background and a horizontal lockup that reads cleanly at 32px height.
  • Favicon: Upload a 64ร—64 PNG or SVG; this also appears in browser tabs and bookmarks.
  • Brand color: Pick a primary accent color used across buttons, links, and graphs. The interface stays dark โ€” your color sits on top.
  • Brand name: Set the display name shown in the navbar, page titles, and emails.

5.3 Email templates with your branding

Transactional emails (welcome, billing receipts, password reset, security alerts) are sent under your brand. You can configure:

  • From name & address: e.g., "YourBrand Hosting" <hello@yourbrand.com>
  • Reply-to address: typically your support inbox
  • Email logo and signature: shown at the top and bottom of every email
  • Custom SMTP (optional): route mail through your own provider so deliverability and DKIM live entirely under your domain

5.4 What stays the same

To keep things compliant and trustworthy, these elements cannot be removed:

  • Stripe and Plisio payment receipt branding (legal requirement of those processors)
  • Backend infrastructure references in technical logs only customers with terminal-level access can see
  • Your own Pixodock dashboard remains Pixodock-branded โ€” only your customers' panel is white-labeled
Section 06

Your Customers' Features

Everything your end users get inside your branded panel โ€” the same battle-tested toolkit that powers Pixodock itself.

VPS provisioning Sites & domains Databases (MySQL, Postgres) 340+ Docker apps Web terminal File manager Firewall & fail2ban SSL automation Scheduled backups AI Ops assistant Real-time metrics DNS management

6.1 What end users can do

  • Deploy VPS servers across multiple datacenters with one click; choose plan, OS template, and region.
  • Manage sites and databases with built-in PHP / Node / Python stacks, automatic SSL, and database GUIs.
  • Deploy 340+ Docker apps โ€” WordPress, Ghost, Nextcloud, n8n, Plausible, and many more, all from a templated catalog.
  • Open a web terminal or browse files directly in the panel โ€” no separate SSH client required.
  • Lock down servers with one-click firewall rules, automatic fail2ban, SSH hardening, and SSL auto-renewal.
  • Ask the AI Ops assistant in natural language to run updates, diagnose errors, harden security, or explain logs.

6.2 Feature limits per plan

Plan tiers determine VPS resources (RAM, vCPU, disk) and the number of resources the customer may provision. The Docker catalog, AI Ops, security tools, terminal, and file manager are included on every plan โ€” your customers get the full experience whether they're on PX2G2C or PX8G4C.

Add your own Docker templates. Through the template management interface, you can publish private templates for your customers โ€” useful for bundling your own stack, branded tooling, or pre-configured apps.

Section 07

Billing & Payments

Two billing flows run in parallel: your customers pay you at retail; Pixodock charges you wholesale. Here's how it all settles.

7.1 The flow at a glance

Direction Who pays Who receives At what price Frequency
Retail End customer You (the reseller) Your retail price Customer's billing date
Wholesale You (the reseller) Pixodock Base price โˆ’20% Your reseller billing date

7.2 When you get charged

  • You're charged on a single consolidated monthly invoice for all active subscriptions on your account on your billing date.
  • If a customer cancels or fails payment mid-cycle, that subscription is dropped from your next wholesale invoice.
  • Failed wholesale payments give you a 7-day grace period; after that, customer service may be suspended until payment is resolved.

7.3 How your customers get charged

  • Customers enter their card or crypto details in your branded checkout. Their payment is processed by Stripe (cards) or Plisio (crypto), with your branding on receipts.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually, depending on what you've configured.
  • You decide refund and cancellation policy. Pixodock follows whatever you set on your end.

7.4 Payment methods

  • Stripe โ€” credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA. Available globally.
  • Plisio โ€” Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and 15+ other cryptocurrencies.
  • Custom integrations โ€” through the Pixodock API, you can plug in additional gateways for specific markets.

Support & FAQ

Quick answers to the questions resellers ask most often. Don't see yours? We're one email away.

Can my customers see Pixodock branding?

No. The customer-facing panel is fully white-labeled. They see your domain, your logo, your colors, and your brand name throughout signup, the dashboard, every feature, and every transactional email. The Pixodock name does not appear in the customer's experience.

Can I set different prices for different plans?

Yes. Each base plan has its own retail price field โ€” you can charge a small markup on entry tiers and a larger markup on premium tiers, or whatever pricing strategy fits your market.

What happens if a customer cancels?

Their subscription ends at the close of the current billing period. The associated VPS and resources are released according to your retention policy. On the next wholesale cycle, that subscription drops off your invoice โ€” you stop paying for it as soon as the customer stops paying you.

How do I get support?

Email admin@pixodock.com โ€” resellers get prioritized response times. For urgent production incidents (panel outage, customer-impacting issues), include the word URGENT in the subject line and we'll page on-call.

Can I add my own Docker templates?

Yes. The template management interface lets you publish private Docker app templates that only your customers can see. Useful for branded apps, internal stacks, or curated catalogs that match your target market.

What's the minimum number of customers?

None. There's no minimum volume, no monthly platform fee, and no setup fee. You only pay the wholesale rate for active subscriptions you have. Start with one customer; scale to thousands.

Can I use my own SMTP / email provider?

Yes. Configure custom SMTP credentials under Reseller Panel โ†’ Email. All transactional mail then routes through your provider, so DKIM, SPF, and deliverability live entirely under your domain.

What if Pixodock raises base prices?

We give resellers at least 30 days notice before any base-price change. You can adjust your retail prices in advance to preserve margins, or absorb the change if your market won't support a price increase.

Do customers know I'm a reseller?

Only if you tell them. From their perspective, your panel is your service โ€” there's nothing in the UI, billing, or emails that implies a third-party platform.

Still have questions?

We genuinely enjoy helping resellers grow. Email admin@pixodock.com with any question โ€” pricing strategy, technical setup, customer escalation, or just feedback on the platform. You'll typically hear back within a few hours during business days.
